En resumen:
- The Shopify Plus examples below fall into three patterns: spiky DTC launches, multi-brand portfolios, and enterprise sub-brands.
- Every example links to a Shopify page, or is labeled as an agency's own case study, so you can check the source before copying a tactic.
- The quoted results are feature-level numbers, such as 3D product views or Shop Pay, not store-wide guarantees.
- Brands that run several storefronts on one merchant account share one card-network dispute ratio, so monitor chargebacks per account.

How We Picked These Shopify Plus Examples
Read each result with its source
Three evidence levels behind these examples
Direct Shopify identification
Shopify publishes the story or names the brand on its Plus page. Follow the cited source for the claimed result.
Plus-feature evidence
A Shopify case study describes a Plus-only feature. This supports an inference about the setup rather than an explicit plan statement.
Agency-reported work
An agency publishes its own case study. The article labels that source so it can be distinguished from Shopify’s reporting.
Each statistic links to its source. Keep its period, cohort and metric attached when comparing results; these brand examples are not a like-for-like performance ranking. For plan background, see our complete Shopify Plus guide.

DTC Brands Scaling Fast on Shopify Plus
These direct-to-consumer brands use Shopify Plus to handle rapid growth and sudden traffic spikes. Most sell straight to shoppers, so the store is the whole business and a slow or failed checkout hits revenue directly.
Gymshark
Gymshark moved from Adobe Commerce to Shopify Plus after its old site crashed for eight hours on Black Friday, a loss Gymshark's Shopify Plus case study estimates at £100,000. The same case study reports £41 million in sales during 2017, a starting point rather than its current size, and says Shopify Scripts let the team add a free gift at checkout, work founder Ben Francis says would have taken weeks on Adobe Commerce.
Lesson: choose the platform before a peak forces the choice.
Allbirds
Allbirds, the New Zealand-born footwear brand that launched on Shopify in 2016, uses Shopify POS and Ship from Store so its 31 retail stores can fulfill online orders. The Allbirds case study says website conversion rises after adding Ship from Store because more inventory is available to online shoppers, though it gives no percentage.
Lesson: count store shelves as sellable online inventory.
SKIMS
Shopify's enterprise blog describes SKIMS as built on Shopify, using its back end for global drops and high-volume flash sales, with its direct-to-consumer site driving most sales. A second Shopify article cites SKIMS among the large clothing brands Shopify Plus suits.
Lesson: a product drop needs infrastructure that holds when everyone arrives at once.
Death Wish Coffee
Death Wish Coffee integrated its ERP with Shopify Plus to track inventory across locations. Per the Death Wish Coffee case study, the brand earned a quarter million dollars, $2,083 a minute, in the two hours after its Super Bowl ad, with more than 150,000 viewers on the site and no service disruption.
Lesson: connect inventory data to the store before the spike, not during it.
Rebecca Minkoff
Rebecca Minkoff added 3D models and augmented reality to more than 50 handbag products. Per Rebecca Minkoff on Shopify Plus, add-to-cart actions rose 44% and order completion rose 27% after shoppers interacted with a 3D model, and purchase likelihood rose 65% with AR. These are lifts among shoppers who used the features, not site-wide numbers.
Lesson: richer product media pays off most on high-consideration items.
UNTUCKit
UNTUCKit offers Shop Pay as an accelerated checkout on its Shopify Plus store. UNTUCKit's customer story credits Shop Pay with a 10% higher average order value than its other checkouts, a 33% higher 30-day repurchase rate, and 64% higher customer lifetime value.
Lesson: a faster checkout builds repeat purchases as well as first ones.
Our Place
Our Place grew from one cookware product into a multi-market brand. Per the Our Place case study, it expanded into Canada and the UK within two years of its US launch, then launched in Australia using Shopify's international sales tools; our guide to selling internationally on Shopify Plus covers how those tools work. It also sells wholesale through Bergdorf Goodman, Saks Fifth Avenue, Selfridges, Liberty, and Target, and moved from a multi-page to a single-page checkout through Checkout Extensibility. Our Shopify Plus checkout customization guide covers the options.
Lesson: a store that scales lets you enter new countries without a rebuild.

Multi-Brand Businesses on Shopify Plus
These companies run several brands or storefronts from one Shopify setup, which keeps operations simpler as the portfolio grows. Our Shopify Plus for B2B guide covers the related wholesale use.
Steve Madden
Steve Madden runs three brands, Steve Madden, Dolce Vita, and Betsey Johnson, across 30 global sites. In Steve Madden's Shopify Plus case study, a replatforming built with RunDTC and Contentstack cut the stack from more than 260 apps to a streamlined architecture and lifted conversion 16%. That gain came from the whole project, not the platform alone.
Lesson: consolidating tooling can matter as much as the platform.
Bombay Shaving Company
Bombay Shaving Company, an India-based grooming brand, moved from Adobe Commerce and now runs seven independent D2C brands through Shopify expansion stores, which Shopify offers only on Plus contracts. The Bombay Shaving Company case study does not name Plus itself. It reports a 150% conversion uplift over the pre-Shopify platform, 20x online revenue, 4x average order value, and 50,000+ orders in two days during monthly mega-sale events. Replatforming from Adobe Commerce is the path in our guide to how to migrate to Shopify Plus.
Lesson: separate stores per brand let you add brands without disturbing the others.
Kylie Cosmetics (Coty)
Kylie Cosmetics is one of the Coty brands that agency Maze Group says it supports on Shopify Plus, in its Coty case study. Treat this example as agency-reported, since we found no Plus case study published by Shopify or Coty.
Lesson: a parent company with many brands gains comparable merchandising and reporting from one platform standard.
Running several brands or storefronts in one organization raises a chargeback wrinkle most lists skip. Card networks use program-specific fraud/dispute ratios and monthly counts at merchant-account level. Visa's VAMP standard Excessive Merchant criteria in Asia Pacific, Canada, EU and US (effective April 1, 2026) apply when the acquirer is not Above Standard or Excessive: at least a 1.5% ratio using the sum of the TC40 fraud count and TC15 dispute count, divided by the count of settled TC05 card-not-present VisaNet payments in the same month, AND at least 1,500 monthly fraud-and-dispute reports, and Mastercard's Excessive Chargeback Program uses ECM criteria of 100–299 current-month chargebacks and a 1.5%–2.99% ratio against the previous month's captured payments. When brands share a merchant account, a dispute spike on one brand counts against all of them, so multi-brand groups need ratio visibility per merchant account, not only per storefront. Our guide to Shopify's Network Dispute Resolution Program explains where Shopify's own dispute step fits alongside those thresholds.
Check the Visa fact sheet and your acquirer's applicable notice. The standard merchant criteria above apply when the acquirer is not Above Standard or Excessive; other regional, local and acquirer criteria differ. The VAMP ratio is the sum of the TC40 fraud count and TC15 dispute count, divided by the count of settled TC05 card-not-present VisaNet payments in the same month. Certain pre-dispute resolutions and qualifying CE3.0 TC40 records are excluded, depending on extract timing; one payment can appear in both reports. A ratio alone does not establish enrollment, fines or closure, and being below these standard merchant thresholds does not guarantee freedom from acquirer or processor review.
Enterprise and Large Brands on Shopify Plus
Established companies often use Shopify Plus for a focused direct-to-consumer storefront, where speed and control matter more than legacy systems.
Hasbro Pulse
Hasbro Pulse is Hasbro's fan-focused storefront for NERF, Star Wars, Marvel, and Transformers. Agency We Make Websites says it relaunched Hasbro Pulse with direct-to-consumer commerce on Shopify Plus, and its portfolio entry reports a 25% conversion increase, a 26% lower bounce rate, and capacity for 4,000 transactions per second. It later expanded to the UK and EU through Shopify Markets. These are agency-reported results.
Lesson: a dedicated DTC channel can sit inside a much larger company without touching its wholesale business.
Other Merchants Named on Shopify's Plus Page
Shopify's Plus page also names these merchants, either as featured logos or as customer testimonials.
| Comerciante | Business | How Shopify names it |
|---|---|---|
| Staples | Office supplies retailer | Featured logo |
| Mattel | Toys | Featured logo |
| Glossier | Beauty | Featured logo |
| Samsonite | Luggage | Customer testimonial |
| Brooklinen | Bedding and home | Customer testimonial |
| Cotopaxi | Outdoor gear | Customer testimonial |
| Momofuku | Restaurants and food products | Customer testimonial |
Plus-Scale Volume Raises Chargeback Exposure
More orders mean more disputes in absolute terms, and friendly fraud grows with them. Mastercard's chargeback cost research, by Datos Insights, projects that global chargeback cost will rise from $36.9 billion in 2026 to $46.1 billion in 2029. LexisNexis Risk Solutions' 2026 True Cost of Fraud study puts the US cost at $5.13 for every $1 of fraud, and a chargeback on Shopify Payments adds a fee of about $15 on top of the lost order.
Chargeflow works at three points, so you can match the product to where your store is exposed:
Different stages of the order lifecycle
Match protection to when it acts
Prevent · after checkout, before fulfillment
Screen post-purchase orders for fraud and abuse before they ship, including during product drops, ad spikes and new-market launches.
Alerts · before a formal chargeback
Resolve eligible flagged cases through chargeback alerts. Check prior refunds and the provider’s resolution instructions.
Automation · after a chargeback is filed
Collect relevant Shopify order evidence and manage dispute responses and submission against the case deadline.
Each stage has its own eligibility and workflow. Keep the original payment, order, refunds and fulfillment history connected.
Chargeflow is the AI Chargeback Platform behind $200M+ in disputed revenue recovered for 20,000+ businesses across 90 countries, with a 4x ROI guarantee for Automation. It automates chargeback and fraud protection on Shopify and pairs with the practices in our guides to ecommerce fraud prevention and Shopify Plus chargeback and fraud protection. Chargeflow's Shopify integration plugs in with one click, with no manual dispute work, and you only pay for the chargebacks it wins back.

Shopify Plus Stores FAQs
What Companies Use Shopify Plus?
Companies that use Shopify Plus include Gymshark, Allbirds, Steve Madden, Our Place, Staples, Mattel, and Glossier, based on Shopify's own case studies and Plus page. The group spans DTC, multi-brand, and enterprise sellers.
What Is a Shopify Plus Store?
A Shopify Plus store is an online store on Shopify's enterprise plan for high-volume merchants. It adds expansion stores, B2B tools, headless commerce, Shopify POS Pro, and checkout customization to the core Shopify platform.
What Does Shopify Plus Include?
Shopify Plus includes a main store and nine expansion stores, B2B tools, headless commerce, Shopify POS Pro, and checkout customizations, per Shopify's Plus pricing page. Additional stores cost extra, listed at $300 a month per store.
How Much Does Shopify Plus Cost?
Shopify Plus starts at $2,500 a month on a one-year term or $2,300 a month on a three-year term, or a variable platform fee for more complex business structures. See our Shopify Plus pricing guide for the full cost breakdown.
Is Shopify Plus Only for Huge Brands?
No. Shopify positions Shopify Plus for companies making $1M to $500M in revenue, so it fits fast-growing mid-market brands as well as household names.
What Is the Difference Between Shopify and Shopify Plus?
Standard Shopify suits smaller merchants on self-serve plans, while Shopify Plus is the enterprise tier with multiple stores, B2B functionality, deeper checkout customization, and dedicated support. See our Shopify vs. Shopify Plus breakdown for the full comparison.
Can I Have Multiple Stores With Shopify Plus?
Yes. A Plus plan includes one main store and nine eligible expansion stores at no additional cost. Expansion stores must extend the same brand; separate brands require their own Plus plan under a multi-brand agreement. Historical merchant case studies do not establish current contract entitlements. If storefronts share a merchant account, they also share its card-network dispute measures. See Shopify’s expansion-store rules.
How Many Stores Use Shopify Plus?
Shopify says Shopify Plus is the platform of choice for over 14,000 of the world's leading brands. Third-party trackers report different totals because they detect stores by technology fingerprints rather than by Shopify's own records.
Do Big Shopify Plus Stores Get More Chargebacks?
Big Shopify Plus stores get more chargebacks in absolute numbers because they process more orders, and card networks consider ratios and counts: Visa VAMP standard Excessive Merchant criteria in Asia Pacific, Canada, EU and US (effective April 1, 2026) apply when the acquirer is not Above Standard or Excessive: at least a 1.5% ratio using the sum of the TC40 fraud count and TC15 dispute count, divided by the count of settled TC05 card-not-present VisaNet payments in the same month, AND at least 1,500 monthly fraud-and-dispute reports. Other regional and acquirer criteria differ; a ratio alone does not establish enrollment. Automating prevention, alerts, and recovery protects revenue as order volume grows.
