The standard fee table is one part of the decision. Chargeflow’s value comes from connected evidence, recovery automation and merchant results. Evaluate those against the work and recovered dollars your team retains.
- Compare what reaches the evidence fileCheck your store, processor, shipping and support connections, plus the work your team must still do.
- Compare billing events, not just ratesSeparate an alert received, a deflected chargeback, a refund and a won recovery. Confirm duplicate-charge and cancellation terms.
What a Disputed Order Really Costs: $60, $250 and $1,200 Examples
Per-alert prices get most of the attention, but the refund is usually the bigger number. The chart below uses Chargeflow's published prices and Stripe's published US fees as the processor example: a $15 dispute fee on every chargeback, plus a $15 counter fee that Stripe returns if you win. Product and shipping costs are excluded from this illustration; include them in your own model where the outcome or timing changes them.
$60 order
$250 order
$1,200 order
Three takeaways:
- On low tickets, compare the refund cost with recovery prospects. At $60, deflecting with Chargeflow costs $89, about the same as losing a fight ($90), and an eligible pre-dispute resolution can keep the dispute out of the relevant count; separate fraud reports may still count.
- On high tickets with strong evidence, compare the expected value of recovery. At $1,200, a won case costs $315 with Chargeflow versus $1,229 to deflect. Routing the right orders to the right path is where the savings are.
- Duplicates change the math. One order can trigger alerts from more than one network. Chargeflow’s zero-duplication-charge policy applies to its own alert billing; confirm the conditions. It does not cancel a second provider’s invoice.

Alert Network Coverage: Ethoca, CDRN, RDR and Order Insight
"Alerts" covers four different programs. Each reaches a different set of issuers and works at a different moment, so coverage, not price, decides how many chargebacks you actually stop.
On smaller screens, scroll the table horizontally to compare all columns.
| Programma | Run by | Hoe het werkt | Disputely |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ethoca-waarschuwingen | Mastercard | Per Mastercard, shares brand-agnostic dispute data between issuers and merchants so you can refund before a chargeback | Inbegrepen |
| CDRN | Verifi (Visa) | Per Verifi, covers Visa and non-Visa disputes; you have 72 hours to issue a credit | Inbegrepen |
| RDR | Verifi (Visa) | Visa disputes resolved automatically by rules you set; resolved cases do not count toward Visa's dispute ratio | Inbegrepen |
| Order Insight | Verifi (Visa) | Per Verifi's Order Insight page, shares order details with the issuer before a dispute is filed; Visa's April 2026 announcement added Compelling Evidence 3.0 sharing | Not mentioned on public pages |
Chargeflow Alerts draw on Verifi, Ethoca, Visa, Mastercard and the Chargeflow Network, go live within 24 hours and carry one $29 rate per deflected chargeback. You pay only for alerts that deflect, and the zero-duplication-charge guarantee means one order is never billed twice. Our guides to CDRN and Ethoca alerts and Verifi Order Insight go deeper on each program.
Why Winning Disputes Does Not Fix Your VAMP Ratio
Stripe's monitoring program guide explains that recovery outcomes and network monitoring are separate. Winning a dispute does not erase the original report. Eligible pre-dispute resolutions can be excluded under the applicable rules, while separate fraud reports may still count. Thresholds and exclusions depend on the program, region and acquirer.
This is why the right vendor has to do both jobs: deflect enough disputes to protect your ratio, and fight the rest to recover revenue. Use the free Chargeflow VAMP calculator to see where you stand, and read our VAMP guide for the full rules.
Questions to Ask in a Disputely or Chargeflow Demo
- Which alert programs are live for my descriptors today, and what share of my disputes come from issuers in those networks?
- How are duplicate alerts on the same order billed?
- Can I set rules by order value or reason code so high-value orders with delivery proof go to representment instead of an automatic refund?
- Who writes and reviews the evidence, and can I hold a submission for internal review?
- Which of my tools (store, processor, shipping, help desk, subscription billing) connect natively?
- What security certifications do you hold?
- What are the notice and termination terms? Disputely's terms let it end access "at any time with or without notice" and cap its liability at three months of fees.
- Is the win rate you quote measured by count or by dollars, and over what period?
