Resumo:
  • Worldpay and Stripe differ at the product level: Worldpay names Accept, Protect, Optimize, Embed and Move Money pillars plus Disputes Deflector, Defender, Portal and Direct API, while Stripe pairs Payments with Dashboard disputes and payout reconciliation reports.
  • Stripe publishes US domestic card rates of 2.9% + 30¢ online and 2.7% + 5¢ in person, plus 1.5% for international cards and 1% when currency conversion applies. Worldpay's home page shows no rates, so its cost comes from a written proposal.
  • A settlement request is not a bank deposit. Retrieve Worldpay Card Payments v5’s latest payment event and the separate account settlement report. Stripe’s automatic payout ID identifies included balance transactions; manual payouts need your own transaction reconciliation.
  • Global Payments completed its Worldpay acquisition on January 12, 2026. Chargeflow's Worldpay integration page describes a Worldpay connection but names no product or account scope, and the documentation table checked October 4, 2026 does not list Worldpay, so confirm your exact account in writing.

Worldpay and Stripe can be compared by named product: Worldpay's acquiring and dispute products against Stripe's Payments, payout reports and Dashboard disputes. This page separates what each provider documents from what you must confirm for your own account.

Worldpay x Stripe: a resposta rápida

Worldpay is an acquirer and payments provider with omnichannel, platform and dispute products, quoted per merchant. Stripe is a developer-first platform with published US rates and reports you can pull yourself. The practical comparison is the settlement report, payout reference and dispute route in the configuration you would sign, not the brand.

Compare Checkout Scope and Operating Workflows

Worldpay and Stripe are both a payment service provider for online acceptance. Worldpay adds in-store, platform and payout products under one relationship. Stripe adds Billing, platform payments and in-person payments on one developer platform. Match your channels, contracting preference and engineering capacity to the named product, then request the settlement and dispute documents below.

A Global Payments agora é proprietária da Worldpay: o que isso significa para a sua decisão

Global Payments completed its acquisition of Worldpay on January 12, 2026, per its investor relations announcement. The announcement describes Enterprise, SMB and Integrated & Platforms channels with tailored strategies. Worldpay's home page describes Worldpay as "now Global Payments."

Ownership establishes the parent company. It does not establish which entity holds your acquiring agreement, whether an account will migrate, or whether report formats and dispute notification routes stay unchanged. Ask for those in writing, and see Global Payments vs Worldpay for the ownership detail.

Compare Worldpay and Stripe Pricing by Configuration

Compare US domestic card pricing only against the same scope. Stripe publishes a rate on its Stripe pricing page. Worldpay quotes per merchant, so ask for the proposal to state domestic and international card pricing, gateway or platform fees, currency conversion, refund and payout treatment, and dispute fees. Model today's mix and a case with more international volume and disputes. No controlled dataset ranks processor chargeback win rates, so none is cited here.

Settlement Reports and Dispute Continuity

Settlement initiation and bank arrival are separate events. Worldpay's Card Payments v5 settlement documentation describes a settle request that changes the payment event to sentForSettlement, and states that a successful request does not mean the payment will be settled, which is at the discretion of the card acquirer. The page checked does not describe settlement timing or bank arrival. Stripe's payout reconciliation report matches bank payouts to the batches of transactions they relate to, groups a payout by its estimated arrival date shown on the Payouts page rather than the date the bank posts the deposit, and is available for accounts with automatic payouts enabled. Instant payouts are not itemized by Stripe, so you reconcile them against your transaction history.

Use this checklist for the exact configuration you are considering:

VerificarWorldpayStripe

Payout referenceAsk for the field that ties a settlement batch to the bank credit.Itemized columns include automatic_payout_id and trace_id, with trace_id_status showing whether the bank supports it.
Dispute sourceDisputes Portal or Disputes Direct API, if included in your agreement. Confirm eligibility.Dashboard, charge.dispute.created webhook event, or Disputes API.
Evidence-retention routeAsk which system keeps order, delivery and customer-service records, and for how long. The dispute page states no retention period.Stripe accepts evidence in one response per dispute with a 4.5 MB combined file limit, so keep source records in your own systems.

Stripe also states that for most disputes you have a limited window to respond, usually 7 to 21 days depending on the card network, and that you have one opportunity to submit evidence, per its dispute response documentation. Worldpay's dispute management page does not state deadlines, so confirm them for your account. For background, see what is a chargeback and ecommerce fraud prevention.

Test one sample order in each configuration: record the authorization, the settlement submission, the report line, the payout or bank reference, the bank credit date and, if disputed, where the notice arrives and who holds the evidence. If a Worldpay account moves under Global Payments, repeat the test, because no source checked guarantees report or dispute-route continuity.

Retrieve the Payment Event Before Matching the Bank Deposit

A payment event, settlement batch and bank deposit are separate records. For Worldpay Access Card Payments v5, follow the returned payments:events action link to retrieve the latest event. Stripe’s automatic payout ID can identify its included balance transactions; retrieving the payout object alone does not itemize them.

  1. Check the payment event. Retain the original payment reference, current event and time checked. Worldpay’s event can take up to 15 minutes to update; that is an event-update delay, not a bank-arrival promise.
  2. Retrieve the settlement records. For a Stripe automatic payout, retrieve its balance transactions and all result pages. For Worldpay, obtain the settlement report for the actual acquiring account and contract.
  3. Match the bank deposit. Reconcile the batch amount, currency, fees and bank-posted entry. Keep unresolved differences visible rather than treating a settlement request as deposit proof.

Connect Chargeflow to Your Exact Worldpay or Stripe Account

A payment-processor connection routes disputes into Chargeflow, while ecommerce and subscription connections add evidence. The Chargeflow Worldpay integration page describes a connection to Worldpay dispute data but does not name the Worldpay products or account types covered, and Worldpay is not in the processor table of the Chargeflow integrations documentation checked October 4, 2026. Do not assume your Worldpay account is connected. Ask Chargeflow to confirm the acquiring product, entity, dispute source and evidence route for your account before relying on it. Stripe is listed as Available in the same documentation, and the Chargeflow Stripe integration page describes a native install.

Worldpay x Stripe: Perguntas frequentes

A Worldpay é melhor do que a Stripe?

Worldpay and Stripe fit different configurations. Worldpay fits merchants that want an acquiring relationship with omnichannel, platform and dispute products under a negotiated agreement. Stripe fits teams that want one developer platform with published US rates and self-serve reports. Compare the named products, settlement reports and dispute routes for your markets rather than a general ranking.

A Worldpay é mais barata do que a Stripe?

Worldpay's home page shows no rates, so its cost comes from a written proposal. Stripe's US pricing page lists 2.9% + 30¢ for domestic online cards and 2.7% + 5¢ in person, with +1.5% for international cards and +1% for currency conversion. Ask Worldpay to quote the same US domestic card scope before comparing the two.

Where do disputes appear in Worldpay and Stripe?

Worldpay names a Disputes Portal and a Disputes Direct API for receiving and managing chargebacks, with no regional or eligibility limits stated. Stripe shows disputes in the Dashboard, sends a charge.dispute.created event, and offers a Disputes API. Confirm the route included in your own Worldpay agreement.

How do Worldpay and Stripe settlement differ from bank arrival?

In Worldpay's Card Payments v5, a settle request moves a payment to sentForSettlement and the acquirer decides whether it settles. In Stripe, the payout reconciliation report groups transactions by payout estimated arrival date, not the date the bank posts the deposit. Each provider's settlement record therefore needs its own bank-matching step.

Does Chargeflow connect to Worldpay?

Chargeflow's Worldpay integration page describes a connection to Worldpay dispute data, but it names no Worldpay product or account type, and the Chargeflow documentation table checked October 4, 2026 does not list Worldpay. Confirm your exact Worldpay account with Chargeflow before assuming a connection.

What does the Global Payments acquisition change for Worldpay merchants?

Global Payments completed its Worldpay acquisition on January 12, 2026, so Global Payments is the parent company. Worldpay merchants should ask in writing which entity holds their agreement and whether any report, support or dispute-route changes apply to their account.

Request These Records Before You Choose

Before you sign with Worldpay or Stripe, request the settlement report, payout reference field, dispute notification route and evidence-retention answer in writing for your configuration. Talk with Chargeflow about your payment and evidence setup to confirm which account and dispute source it can connect.
