Shahaf Rabi is Chargeflow's Sr. Analytics Manager, where he leads risk and data analytics for the company's AI-powered chargeback automation platform. He works across chargeback and dispute data to surface the patterns behind win rates, fraud signals, and seasonal spikes, and turns those findings into product and risk decisions for Chargeflow's merchant base. He writes for the Chargeflow blog on chargeback timing and root-cause analysis, including a look at how a merchant's September chargeback spike is typically set in motion months earlier, in July.
Before joining Chargeflow, Shahaf worked as a Data Analyst at an early-stage startup and as a Full Stack Product Analyst at Firefly. Earlier, he was a Senior Research Analyst at Justt, a chargeback dispute-automation company, where he worked directly with dispute and fraud data - experience that carried straight into his current risk-analytics role at Chargeflow.
Shahaf's earlier career was in research and intelligence analysis rather than ecommerce. He was the founding director of the Israeli Center for the Study of Targeted Killing, an OSINT researcher affiliated with UMass Dartmouth, and a research assistant at the International Institute for Counter-Terrorism (ICT). In the Israel Defense Forces he served as a Junior Product Manager and Deputy Combat Intelligence Officer, after starting his service as a combat engineer in an NBC unit. He holds a bachelor's degree from Reichman University.
That combination - open-source and intelligence research methods, hands-on dispute analytics at Justt, and now risk analytics inside Chargeflow's own chargeback platform - gives Shahaf's writing a data-first, pattern-detection lens: he treats chargebacks as a trailing signal of decisions made weeks or months earlier, and writes accordingly for merchants and finance teams trying to get ahead of them.
