Introducing Prevent 2.0: Stop Fraud and Abuse Before It Ships

Today we're releasing Prevent 2.0, a new AI model that screens every order for fraud and abuse before it ships. Prevent 2.0 is a true breakthrough in fraud protection, catching 10x more fraud and abuse than the previous generation, at a fraction of the price.

We built Chargeflow with the vision that when merchants deliver, the revenue they've earned should stay theirs. Friendly fraud has made that harder. Most disputes don't claim fraud at all. The buyer says it never arrived, wasn't as described, or that they didn't mean to renew. Prevent 2.0 screens for those too. What's new in Prevent 2.0

• A new AI model. Every decision now comes from the new model, after checkout and before the order ships. Nothing changes at checkout.
• Stolen cards, now covered. Third-party fraud is screened in the same decision as friendly fraud.
• Suspicious delivery patterns. Prevent now spots irregularities like different names shipping to the same address.
• Sharper on abuse. It's better at spotting friendly fraud, such as detecting buyers with a history of disputing orders they received, even on their first order with you.
• A fraction of the cost. The new, more efficient Prevent 2.0 AI model now costs only $0.10 per scanned transaction (each order or subscription renewal it screens).

Where Prevent started

Our first model, Prevent 1.0, focused on friendly fraud. Merchants who activated Prevent saw 20% fewer chargebacks in their first three months, on top of the other fraud tools they ran in parallel.
